It was a good job..

Well got the call today that I have been let go. This doesn't effect my disability claim but means that once things get better I have to start over again. Nothing I can do about it. The only option I was given was to come back with accomodations but nothing would make it so I could work. Sucks because I liked the job.. such is life right now.

That’s shitty.

I guess like Stuart said above hopefully in your case your next job is way better. As well hopefully for your own sake your health becomes much more stable before you are off of your disability.

You are right, it will be your turn again but you knew it was going to come to this and faced it with dignity.
Better days are ahead.

It's possible you have a lawsuit against your employer for discrimination. I believe by law, they need to make reasonable accomodations for you to do your job. Best to check with an attorney specializing in disability. Good luck and keep us posted.

We tried the accomodations route but nothing worked an my primary care doctor said enough is enough.. I had 4 emergency room visit from that time frame of trying to make it work with the accomodations and truly I was lucky to make it two hours before I was stuck in the bathroom. And I don't have a way to deal with all of the pain that comes with this. So,it is what it is.

Hopefully you can SSI DISABILITY. At least you can have some income.

My work disability policy pays me 60% of what I was making while I was working. I get food stamps, and Also have Medicare biased insurance already. So I am doing okay but being between diapers and pull-ups 24/7 has been pricy but not outside my budget. But things are getting worse and not better so.

O...and that policy stays for two years as long as I had work for my place of business.

Hi FlGuy, I'm really sorry to hear that you were let go. But it's good that doesn't affect your disability claim. The best thing to do is to do what you need to do to get physically back in shape as best you can and then concentrate on getting an even better job. And we'll look forward to nicer days being ahead for you!

@ThatFLGuy

I am now 74 and I have suffered through many losses: jobs, health, wife, and home. But I always knew that God was aware of what I was going through and had a plan for me. Those terrible times were always tough to go through, but things always turned out better for me, and I always drew closer to God.

I pray that you will have faith in God's will for you, and that you give Him thanks and praise.

"Without faith it is impossible to please God."
