My interstitial cystitis has started flaring up the past couple of weeks. I called my urologist's office last week because I felt like I had a UTI, and they told me to go to urgent care to get it tested. I did that, and it came back negative.
I called my urologist back, and they said they don't have any openings before my next appointment in mid-December. I don't know how I'm going to get through the next month and a half if I keep hurting as badly as I am now.
It feels like I have to pee all the time. It's very painful, and incredibly disruptive to my ability to do anything. It's especially bad when my bladder gets full (though "full" is kind of relative right now - it's unbearable at about 250 ml). It's also bad when my bladder is completely empty, so after I pee it feels like I'm not done. I'm having a lot of leakage, mostly when my bladder is nearly empty or nearly full.
The nurse at my urologists office suggested that I take Azo, but that's not something I'm supposed to be taking for weeks at a time. With my liver disease, I have to worry about anything I take that had a possibility of liver damage.
