I think I may survive the winter….

Sorry for my absence the last month but I have been fighting the battles. Start with COVID 19 that knocked me on my butt. I managed at home along with sharing the COVID with my husband. We both were vaccinated and boosted, thank God. Then I had a flare up of microscopic colitis which made me incontinent of diarrhea along with my urge incontinence. Fortunately my gastroenterologist supplies me with a special steroid to treat that. The cherry on the top was a painful urinary tract infection, probably from all of the above. I have to go in to see the urologist today in order to get an antibiotic. I hope all of you are doing better and enjoying the Olympics this month. I want to schedule a Botox prior to going to DC to see the Cherry Blossoms in late March. My sister lives in Virginia near DC and we really wanted to go this year. I don’t know how well increasing the dosage will do this time but it’s worth a try. One time it worked for 2 months, the other time didn’t work at all. Gotta get well from UTI first though. Hope y’all are all doing well right now.

Botox worked for me, until it didn’t. The last 3 did not work at all. I use to get the Botox injections every quarter. They really helped me with my Interstitial Cystitis pain until they stopped working. Need to find something else that helps with the pain. Other than opioids, there doesn’t seem to be any options.

@Maymay941, well, the antibiotics seem to be helping some with the pain. I am always grateful for even the smallest favors these days. Could be the margaritas my hubs had fixed for me though. Between him and my precious friends here, I will survive!

As a non licensed utterly useless bystander of great medical non know how I can say with certainty that your gem of a husband turned mixologist is the true reason your getting better.
But that's only my professional opinion.
