Freezing temperatures

Alas, I grew up in Anchorage and Fairbanks. Those Uditarod racers are so hard core and tough asses, they probably use ice cubes as hand warmers. Lol

There are several dog-yards near enough that we hear them howl at dinner-time, especially on frosty nights. We deliberately avoided buying a house too near them. But we chose a Vet by asking them who was best. They were spot on, and for helping us with her arthritis.
Both Pro and Amateurs. Our dog gets excited when they mush by pulling an ATV on the ATV trail. Not enough snow for sleds, here, mostly, any more; they go up to the Cariboo hills, or way North.
Used to help at the Tusty 200, but it hasn't been able to be run for 4 years or so.
Pretty sad.
Did you read "Life With 40 Dogs"? Good book, funny, too. The authors baby daughter was taught to howl by her parents' dogs. Great photo. LOL.

I never heard of it. Sounds good though. We never had any experiences with the sled dog stuff. My dad was a welder on the pipeline.we did a lot of camping near the pipeline camps and below the mountain (Denali) on the foothills.

Sorry for the delay response. I will try hand warmers and the heading back pad I did find a rechargeable heating underwear but there expensive and I’m worried that if I have a leak it will ruin them

The responses here remind me: somehow, Consumers Reports never reviews our products. Yet they are National (or most of them), they must gross millions of dollars in sales (10s of millions?). Too subjective? Maybe we get too outspoken? Okay, maybe they can measure how much weight/volumne can be absorbed, but does it do it in the right place at the right time, without leaking? We may not be scientists, but we knows what we like and what works (and doesn't work) for us.
