I currently have a pessary that deals with my stress incontinence quite successfully. Small problems with removal, UTIS, other infections and very occasional urge incontinence. My urogynacologist is suggesting a sling. She says it is 90% effective. My last urogynie said it was only 80% effective. What does this mean? I will leak 10%-20% of the time? Or I may be one of the 10%-20% where it doesn’t prevent leaking at all? I have heard that it sometimes needs to be removed/replaced. Where can I find more reliable information?
