Don't trust fedex for your medical supplies.

Hello AlasSouth, I hear you on that!! I know a few people in Alaska and they have mentioned prices there are much higher for somethings because of the shipping costs but they expect it and adjust when needed. I mostly wish these products were more available to us locally so we didn’t have to pay the shipping costs.

Alaska surprises you. Some things are pennies different, some are ridiculous. CVS is one place where if you spend enough, or go on auto-refill, and it's free shipping. Some just give you a discount.
I used to get supplies (Like these tiny filters for my CPAP machine), so light they didn't equal a dollar bill. A Florida company (The hospital signed me up with them) sent them FedEx. They would have fit in one of those small mailing envelops and still not disturbed the Post Office machines. They placed constant calls to try to get me to order more. That cost the Insurance Company, the US Government, and all of you, money, added to our premiums and taxes.
Capitalism at its finest. What did Pope John call that?
All i an say is ask around - your neighborhood might have a strong opinion on different shippers where you are.
