Depends real fit men’s pull ups don’t work

I’m mainly a nighttime bed wetter that wears plastic back diapers to sleep in which are full in the mornings. During the day I occasionally have leaks before I make it to the bathroom. I did not want to wear a bulky noisy diaper to work. So I bought depends real fit for men. These start off okay in the morning but by the afternoon the absorptive material falls apart and ends up balling up in the crotch area leaving no protection from leaks - anyone else had this issue with depends products?

Thanks - at my work would not be an option all the time - I was hoping that someone is using a different product that does not come apart moving around during the day

at one time Depend made a sort of OK diaper right about the time they switched from the ugly green to the white they were about on par with most of the other diapers on the market at that time but the move to more discrete and thinner products dropped their quality way down so many of their products don't offer the protection they once did things like no-leak guards and the absorbent padding not coming up high enough in the front and back I haven't seen a product from Depends that I like in a long time the thing with Depends they are the big name and most ell known due to all their advertising the sad truth is despite their big-name thee are so many other products of superior quality in my honest opinion Depends are junk

I don't really care for the depends real fit. They feel like a wadded wet paper towel after the slightest leak. The depends mens pads work pretty well though and are a lot more comfortable.

I have mostly issues at night with light leakage during the day as well

Hi,Teddy here, I use Tena for men it's more expensive but it does the job, works great for me,take care

If it’s a pull-up you want, have you tried the Depend Night Defense? They may be more effective for you than the Realfit.

I use the night defense also and agree on the real fit. They're ok but short use. Use Depends maximum during the day. 100% incontinent post surgery and currently try to get 3 changes during day and one at night. Intake around 64oz so linear calc would be a pint ends up in each, though in reality, the last one before bed change probably gets the most.

Depends Night Defense pull-ups work fine for me, but I’m not fully incontinent. Yes, sometimes if I actually get deep sleep, they can get really full and leak, but that’s what layered waterproof pads are for. No one diaper is perfect. And no diaper is perfect for everyone.

Just throwing my 2 cents in here-I have had pads FAIL because of absorption rates of the urine (even the heaviest pads available, which is why I switched to pullups). If you have heavier leaks, Northshore type brands would be better. I know on my end Depends or Always Discreet at best can hold 1 FBL *full bladder leak*. If you have heavier leaks, you may want to invest in Northshore brand pullups instead. For me, they held 2-3 FBLs and you can add extra padding.

Thanks - other people mentioned north shore products - I’m also searching for nighttime products - I currently wear comfi dry 24/7 plastic back diapers with tabs at night - usually completely full in the morning. I have pads and a fitted waterproof sheet for the bed - sometimes the pad moves and the diaper leaks - people suggested try the north shore maga max with tabs as a alternative for my nighttime wettings - I will look up the pull ups for daytime leaks - btw I’m male 51 and this is all new to me - never thought I need to wear diapers at my age - thanks for the information- currently seeing a urologist to get this figured out - had 3 visits so far - he started me on different pills as of yesterday. This morning my diaper was completely full - :(

I began having issues around my mid 20s if memory serves correctly, and even to this day its still a journey. I'm now in my 30s. I did also want to suggest the Abena brand M4 diaper but size can change if you are on a budget. I know for awhile I had zero bladder control and those lasted about 6 or 8 hours. It seems you need to upgrade your protection either way, so the choice comes down to whether or not you want to do pull-ups or diapers/briefs. Briefs will have higher capacity as well, with good brands.

I use pullups during the day also for what sounds like similar symptoms.
If traveling or knowing I will not be near a restroom I use Abena level 4 pullups. These work very well but are a thicker pullup and have a fair amount of padding in the rear.
My "normal" daily pullup are now the Because marketing brand. Overnight for men. I just started using these about a month or so ago due to the discontinuation of the pullup I had been using for about 6 years. So far I like them.
Both of these brands/styles use standing leak guards which I like.
Because are softer "fabric" than other pullups I have used.
Perhaps these brands would be worth a try?

Thank you for you suggestions I’m feel much better discussion this topic now - will do more research- thanks

Myrbetriq didn’t help me. Oxybutynin/Ditropan sort of does, but I only take it for special occasions, because it’s side effects are many and expensive.

Hi @Chadindiapers, I prefer the pull ups myself, as opposed to something like the Depend Real Fit or others that you can buy at the local big box or supermarket. Admittedly I haven't tried the Depend Night Defense, although that could be a possibility there.
But pull ups are ordered on line from a lot of companies and if you live in an area with a lot of thrift stores that is also a great option for buying something you can try out but at the same time that won't break the bank. Thrift shops sell those products at a fraction of the price you'd pay with mail order. Bottom line, if I were you, I'd go the pullups route and if that doesn't do it, then the tape-on briefs, also available from many companies on line.

Thanks for your input- urologist had me on Myrbetriq for nine weeks - did not work - now he put me on My Mrbeyriq by- I’m a ginea pig for the most part - just want to stop wearing diapers

@billliveshere I think the ability to find diapers in a thrift store depends on where you live. As you’re in FL, a state with mostly elderly people, there are probably many diapers. I have not yet seen any in UT (the state with the youngest population) but I know one person on this forum, has.
