Botox

I say my uro today. He is recommending more urodynamic testing. He is thinking that my incontinence is probably related to my cerebral palsy due to the severity of the symptoms compared to the mildness of physical indicators from the the cystoscopy. After the testing he is thinking botox. Has anyone else had experience with this.
Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, I have had it, and it did not work out for me,, also it has been brought up several times in here, so you might also find out lots of information on Botox. One thing I wished I would have known, was at the time I was straight cathing 4 times per day, but after it was done I had cath 6 plus times per day, it just wasn't for me. Even my current Urologist has suggested it again. I don't get it.

Just had Botox again last Friday. I’ve had it several times now and it usually works, but not always. So far, my pain is gone. I do not have incontenence though, just horrible pain which Botox takes completely away when it works. Keep your fingers crossed that this latest treatment works.

Sorry I'm late to the discussion.

I've had botox many times, and I find it helps tremendously, both with incontinence and pain. I do end up having to self-cath after treatments, but for me that's not been a big deal, and well worth the tradeoff.

Hi,Teddy here,it's been a while that I didn't contact you people, just busy and lazy.I saw my specialist this morning in Joliette and he is very pleased with my reovery,he said that at the stage that I'm at right now he has seen this in patience at 6 months and more.He said that by July I should be completly dry,I just have to continue doing my Kegel exercises. He asked me how much I was doing a day,so I told him that I was doing 300 exercises a day,he started to laugh a lot,he said that I'm overdoing it,I should be doing not more than 60 a day.Too much will make my pelvis muscles too tired.Anyways all is good, sometimes I use only 2 pads a day but most of he time I go through only 1 a day.Take care to you all

Thank you so much for your feedback. I am feeling optimistic about it at this point. I do worry about seizing up and having to cath.
