Hi wanted some feedback on booster pads I wear the abena l4 diaper and it’s good but after about 3 4 wettings it will start to leak. Will a booster pads help I wear 24/7 now also will thy make the diaper bulge just wanna know thanks

I have used boosters when on a long journey or away from home, as you can get rid of the booster without getting changed. When I'm at home I change more often rather than using a booster. As for the bulge, I wouldn't wear anything too tight over the top. Phil

I have tried a few variants over the years. The last few were samples NorthShore threw in my auto ship. I do not wear during the day, but I didn't feel like they helped me at night. I suppose a flood will always be different than a constant dribble, so your results may vary. You should request a sample from NorthShore and see if they work for you.

I depend on booster pads or inserts. On long trips, I put in several, as many as three, the first one using the adhesive, the next ones just lying on top of each other. It's not obvious while sitting on a plane, and changing only requires the disposal of a single insert. Remember, though, we all have different needs in order to continuing living a full life.

booster pads can be a big help just make sure they are booster pads as booster pads have no waterproof backing, therefore, they have a flow-through design whereas liners do have a waterproof backing the same as a diaper if you were to either double diaper or use a liner as a booster pad you will need to punch holes in the waterproof backing on the inside diaper or liner

Total dry makes a maximum and ultimate booster that are amazing and fit well. They are the best ones as they seem to distribute witness the best as compared to others that have more of the particles and just stop absorbing after awhile. They work exceptionally well with Abenas. Good luck

Booster pads will definitely increase the capacity of your diaper. However, whether it will stop leaks really does depend on the individual and why their diaper is leaking. If the leak is because diaper's fit changes with time and fullness, a booster pad may or may not help. If the leak is due to running out of capacity, it should help. They are definitely worth trying to see if they work for your situation.

As for bulge, a full booster pad will likely create some bulge. However, the visibility can be reduced with clothing choice if you find the added protection helps stop leaks. I use a booster pad almost all the time because it works for me. I would much rather risk some visibility of a bulge and adjust to the added bulk between my legs, than have to explain a leak and or sudden change of clothes. I sometimes wonder what people would think if they really knew how much I had going on under my pants.

I use a booster pad at night and don't have any problems with leaks. The key is the right booster pad. If you get one with a hour glass design you have to make sure it does not interfere with the leg gathers of the diaper your wearing. I use tranquility Top Liner Booster which is just a 15'X 4.25" straight booster pad. It adds 14.2oz of holding capacity to my diaper. Since I wear for nighttime, extra bulge isn't an issue.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Abri-Let Stuffers by Abena. They're available on AMAZON and I buy them by the case of 120. It's like adding a 2nd diaper layer, without having to actually use 2 briefs at once.

They're great for my daytime use with a Better Dry or Abena M4/L4, since I don't need to change every few hours, and can just remove (or remove/replace) the stuffer without my diaper getting saggy.

has anyone had luck using 2 boosters? i have some totaldry ultra and some tranquility boosters and im using backup diapers this month because i dont have the money to get my monthly supply. i have a bunch of packs of northshore ites in blue 1 pack of northshore supremes, 1 half pack of megamax (which i havent had luck with) and a couple packs of betterdry. the lites leak without a booster (and sometimes with) and so do the supremes although i have better luck with the supremes. would using 2 boosters help? i need all this to last me through the month and im really nervous.

Hi EJ,
Give it a shot for sure. I found at night doing one across the top of the front panel(or two) and one down the center is good for some diaper cuts and absorbencies.
Or two side by side. Experiment a bit and see what works best for the current situation you will be in or doing. And keep an eye out for the local Salvation Army store or goodwill. I’ve scored some really amazing deals on briefs and just modified to make them work for me. $5 bucks for a huge bag of super absorbent tenas I can deal with and make it work. Just need a little creativity at times. And maybe scissors and a hot glue gun. 😊 good to hear from you!

@justej If your using two boosters to cover the front and the back just make sure the front overlaps on top of the back one. Whatever you use I can't stress enough to not let it interfere with the leg gathers. Boosters need to stay inside. I'm not sure of their proper name but tranquility sells a booster with an hour glass design. I got these by mistake once. What I did was fold the "wings" back under the booster hence making it a rectangle shape and it worked great.
