very disappointed
I thought these diapers would've been a whole lot better than what they are with the claimed absorbency and using velcro instead of tapes I did find them comfortable and I bought them to use as an overnight diaper but I experienced numerous leaks the is nothing like being up at 3:00 a.m. having to change bed clothing and sheets because the diapers you bought to rely on to keep you dry in bed leaked big time I have had more leaks than dry sheets with these I have been using Abena Abrriform L4's for years and yes I do occasionally get a leak with them as any diaper will leak at one time or another I was hoping the diapers would have been better than what they are but the Abenas are much more reliable than these diapers have proven to be

Leaking Diapers: YES every brand leaks. DON'T BELIEVE THE ADVERTISING OR REVIEWS. I have begun using PLASTIC PULL UPS on top which helps a lot. Not perfect but better. Get large size plastic pants if you go this way The combination is bulky but better. Also using disposable pads on top of regular mattress covers to save constant washing. Hope all of this works. Crazy in Canada

You guys gotta use chucks on your beds. Its much easier to change those than the sheets.
I also use a booster pad to help with the leaks at night.

I wear a cloth diaper over the disposable then wear plastic pants over them never have leaks

This is what I do when we travel. I normally use cloth diapers and plastic pants at night, but bringing enough cloth diapers for a 2 week vacation is just not practical. Instead, I use disposable diapers at the hotels, with a cloth diaper and plastic pants over it all. With this combo, I bring 3 cloth diapers with me, so if any wetness DOES leak pass the disposable, I have a few spare cloth diapers as back-ups.

I used cloth stuffers every night in my disposable diaper. It has virtually eliminated leaks even though I'm a side sleeper and I don't even have to use a premium diaper since the cloth booster does such a good job. Actually the "boosters" I use are WalMart "Flour Sack Towels" (10 for $8) which are really just thin 100% cotton cloths that are 28" square. I fold them into a 12 layer pad and just lay them in my nighttime diaper. I've never needed more than one but you could always add another if needed. I do wear a PUL plastic pant over everything just for insurance but I've never gotten more than a drop on it a time or two. In the morning I give the cloth pad a quick rinse in the sink and hang to dry, then into the regular laundry. If you are on a trip or somewhere that you can't rinse and hang to dry they are cheap enough to just bag and toss in the trash.

Thanks for tips on keeping dry overnight. It's no fun being constantly wet. I will try some of your ideas. That's easier than getting a divorce from being grumpy from lack of sleep. I just tried ABRI-FLEX pull ups. VERY disappointed - they did not work for me being a side-sleeper. Donated them to charity. Also tried medication called APO DESMOPRESSIN which is supposed to reduce the amount of urine produced in the kidneys. Did not notice after one month but began experiencing kidney pain. Have stopped. Not worth risking damage to kidneys. Crazy in Canada, michael

pullups never offer the same protection as a full-on diaper
