Hey guys!

Question for you all. So I’ve been consistently wearing at night(sleeping better!!!) but I’m not sure if it’s because I sweat at night but I developed an infection in my belly button. Have you guys ever experienced something like that? Not sure if it’s from sweating with the brief or what

YEP,
Go to CVS/Walgreen/Walmart,ect and get you some Hibiclens. (put it on a cotton ball and dab you belly button with it)

I had to use it after my stomach surgery as one of the spots that the laparoscopic equipment went in was at my belly button.

I would suggest lie down putting hydrogen peroxide in it
Air dry and swab with neosporin.
Pull the brief below it and tape with medical tape to keep it from riding up to let it not be covered.
I have a virtual phobia of this body part I cant even write the word hahaha
Sorry I've never heard of this issue.

Thanks guys! Appreciate it. I should of addressed it sooner. It was hurting all week and I didn’t think anything of it

I once had a staph infection in my belly button. Had to be hospitalized and treated with IV antibiotics. Freaked my sister out because like May she is squeamish about belly buttons.

I had a big nasty infection in mine a few days after getting home from surgery. (I caught my neice when she jumped to me off the coutch and paid for it by reopening my cuts)

So, I have a big six-inch scar on my belly button.

I will say it in all caps with a link

HIBICLENS, HIBICLENS, HIBICLENS

It is made for staph infections and pre-surgery. I even use it when I feel like I am getting diaper rash as it antiseptic & antimicrobial. I have to keep it around due to getting staph easy. so been using it for years. Heck you can wash your whole body with it. Check it out.

@ThatFLGuy I don’t think you can wash your privates with it. At least that’s what I was told. I use it on my residual limb cause I get abscesses all the time. Good stuff.

@ThatFLGuy thanks! I’ll definitely get some in the morning to clean the area. This seems like something everyone should have on hand!

Just to add to the sore thing. I still can’t figure out how to avoid a sore at the top of my crack in the back (or close to the top). Maybe tailbone is better way to describe it. I use powder nightly. I just sprinkle it on my diaper before strapping in for the night. Can’t seem to figure out how to avoid pain in that area

Try the Hibiclens if that does not take care of it then get you some barrier cream with pain relief 'Link below" That stuff works well too. The thing with Hibiclens is that it will take care of staph infections quickly and if it doesn't in a day or two or you start running a fiver then get to the ER/ED asap.

I have washed my junk with it. I just soak in the bath after. I do way with a lot of the stuff that causes rashes. If I don't drink enough water I sometimes get a lot of redness in that area so using it works to fix that quick.

@Dkscray255 I will get this type of infection right around my penis rim, during a UTI as I'm taking the antibiotic, and my PCP almost "expects" me to get a infection, as I also have a impotent micropenis so it stays wet. She told me too at least once per day at a change too lay naked also on a pad on the bed to air out. This might help you too, if you want to know what cream she scripted, message me and I will give you the name

Late responce I know, but your belly button? How high is the top of your protection?

Now I only bedwet and for the most part do not wear protection since I only bedwet once a month or so (yes the bed is protected as well as the wife, I sleep on a bedwetter pad on myside of the bed and there is a waterproof protection under the fitted sheet). I only wear protection when 1.) I think there is a higher chance that I might bedwet, and 2) when I am not sleeping at home. My protection does not cover my belly button. So my question, is that the norm for protection to go that high?

@Jaytee It just covers my belly button. I wear tabbed diapers. I wet just about every night right now due to ptsd. Not sure if it’s supposed to go that high but it seems like all the ones I’ve tried to just about that high

Is it possible to fold down the top two inches of your diaper, so it doesn't rub against your belly button? I often fold the top 2 inches of my daytime disposable diaper down, tucking it inside the diaper, so it won't stick out of the back of my pants if I'm bending over, like when doing yard work, etc...
