Adult Brief Leaks while lying down

Wet-Again

New member
I have been wearing Assurance Adult Briefs with plastic underpants to avoid leaks. So far, it hasn't worked.

If I am lying on my back and urinate during the night, the urine tends to run down the sides my my stomach and leak out.

I am overweight, and I realize there are better Adult briefs available, I just haven't purchased any new briefs until I use up what I have.

I am wondering if this is a common problem? And potential solutions to the problem?

If you are male you need to ensure that the diaper has a good fold in it to create a channel for the male anatomy to fit into position it should be in the downward position so the liquid can flow down. Shaving the diaper area helps especially where the leg gatherers fit in the groin area this ensures a good bond. I wear diaper (booster if needed), terry briefs and a diaper cover (waterproof pants). At every stage of the process I ensure that each layer fits snugly in the groin. When fitting diapers I imagine an X is printed on the front the top tabs angled diagonally down and bottom diagonally up.

Hope this might give you some assistance.

Thank you for your response Stonehouse. I appreciate it more than you can imagine.

I normally fold the diaper lengthwise, but perhaps I wasn't as concerned about it as I should be. Arranging my anatomy in the downward position is somewhat challenging. My anatomy generally points towards the ceiling which is part of the problem.

I have been wearing the diaper, plastic pants, and underwear. The plastic underwear is a bit problematic. They split where the seam in the side is located. I have not shaved my groin area, but I can understand the need. My trimmer disappeared in our move. I will need to make an effort to find it.

Currently, I have been wearing the Assurance brand diapers. They have two velcro style fasteners which tend to relax over time. I am looking for a better brand of diaper. I will keep the 'X' in mind.

Thank you again!
