Acupuncture - Nocturnal Enuresis

Also for men... From Drugs.com:

Flomax capsules are used in men to treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH) which include difficulty urinating (hesitation, dribbling, weak stream, and incomplete bladder emptying), painful urination, and urinary frequency and urgency.

My 86yr dad has been on it for over a year.

I took Flomax for years. In my opinion, it did nothing for my BPH. Further research has shown it may have been the reason for my reduced libido back then in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Has anyone tried FLOMAX. How has it worked? Thanks.

Ronnegray,

Flomax is the brand name for Tamsulosin. These links will tell you all about it:

First marketed under Flomax brand name in 1996.

It was FDA approved for generic tamsulosin in 2010:

@Pammy53, @snow:

I read Pammy53's email about the pain involved in Botox injections as well as @snow's super description. I waited until my recent appointment with my urologist to make sure I got the name of the product correct. First, I am a 73-year-old male. However, when I finally decided to try Botox in my bladder, my urologist had a product called Pro-Nox. On its website, (https://www.pro-nox.com/urology)it is described thusly:
"...FDA cleared blend of 50/50 Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen, Pro-Nox is an analgesic gas delivery system designed for patients to have 100% control through self-administration. Based on decades of extensive research and proven success, a 50/50 mixture of nitrous oxide provides short-term pain, anxiety, and stress relief without causing patients to “go under.”"

Except for the first injection, which I felt because I had not inhaled the Pro-Nox correctly/enough, I felt no pain.

Insurance/Medicare does not cover the $150.00 charge, but I am scheduled for my next injections in late May, and I will be using it again.

Maybe there is a urologist in your area who offers Pro-Nox.

I hope this has value to you.

What happened to the post I made that listed in great detail the Botox procedure? Our website has definitely been hacked. Does anybody know if the NAFC is actually paying any attention to this?

If doesnt Work, I will try with laser and finally bulkamid.(But not want…)
Did yo try acupunture? Thanks in advance.

I have never tried acupuncture. I don’t think it will do anything. I receive Botox injections every three months. My diagnosis is Neurogenic Bladder.

Thanks for your answer, I hope it will go well in my case, I really scare about my other two options… I am happy that you have find a solution for your trouble, I hope that in my case will the same. Need to change this situation. Best regards.

in my case helped more for the hiperactive bladder than for the pelvic floor… Earlier than emsella I used to go to the toilet 3-4 times in the night. Now is enogh with one. So I am happy to try it. Not enough for my trouble, because nothing have changed during the day… and days are worst than nights… but… now nights are better for me, and somehing is something.

@Maymay941 - Hi Maymay - I was cleaning up my email when I found your post about the emsella chair. I had no idea what it was and had to look it up. Sounds like it could be helpful, but pricy for sure. Even if I could afford it - from reading the questions I don't think I would qualify. I didn't have complete hip replacements, but there is some very visible metal on both sides on x-ray - plus there's that shunt in my head. If it really did its magic, and you can afford it - I'm happy for those that can use it. - Pam

@pammy53 I only know one person here who used the Emsella chair and she said it helped with night but not her say issues

I don’t get it, does this chair go home with you or do you pay for these treatments out of pocket? It sounds like a mythical crock to me. Anything promising what it’s promising is a lot and that usually means it’s not going to do anything. *IF* I was going to put my money on something to regain sexual function, it would be the $100-$1400 “V-shot” you get from Botox clinics.

@snow - If you Goggle Emsella Chair, you get the full low down on how it works - how many sessions you need etc. It is very pricy, and no it does not go home with you. Pam

@snow - Yeah me neither. Maymay said the only person that she knew that tried it - it only helped at night. For that amount of money I would expect 24/7 - Plus a whole lot more! - Pam

@Pammy53 that amount of money I would expect full fledged sexual function recovery and I don’t believe that’s possible from what my doctors have told me.
