A constant pressure

Hey NAFC,

Its an overcast dsy out - but im mentally believing that its sunny and beautiful. Im hoping things will clear up as the day progresses.

In regards to bladder control problems; does anybody sympathize with the feeling of a constant pressure? I know ive talked about urges vs. Surges in the past - but maybe its my weakened bladder muscles that cause this pressure - but im thinking that is what help contributes to my low self esteem as im always either have to go; or going.

Anyway, anybody sympathize with a pressure? I know some with UI just constantly leak - but my UI is a world where you know and feel the leakage because of urgency.

Thoughts from a woke bedwetter.

My understanding of OAB is limited, even though that has been my diagnosis. I feel very little pain, but when I do have normal urges, it means that I'm likely to make it to a toilet- that my 'system' is functioning properly. I guess my point is that, I agree with my urologist that it is neurological in origin, because other symptoms from my head injury are the same- sometimes I have perfect vision (or balance, or bladder control or memory or whatever) and sometimes I don't. With the loss of bladder control, I have good and bad periods every day, and have had for 7 or 8 years without a single exception. My purpose for explaining this is that I'm wondering if you have been diagnosed with overactive bladder as well, and if so, have they concluded one way or another if it is of neurological origin in your case. If they haven't explored this avenue, perhaps there is some relief to be found by looking at it from this angle.
I can't imagine having to deal with constant urge.
May I ask- are you wearing protection at all times or at least when you have these symptoms, and are you allowing yourself to let the urine flow, or do you try to hold it in?

Oh, and one more thing- remember that above the clouds, it's always a sunny day. Which is great if you're an airline pilot- but then again... wouldn't that mean that the sun is always in your eyes? Man, we can't win. Please hang in there.

I sympathize with all of you have OAB. I call my bladder half-time. I get a two minute warning before it unloads.

Thanks Jeff!

I have been diagnosed with OAB with UI. I'm not sure if it's neurological - I'm thinking it is since the Interstim Trial worked for myself and from what my urologist advised myself- it is my sacral nerves and my brain not communicating correctly with my muscles which is why they always spasm.

In regards to protection; I am not wearing all the time. I have good days and bad days; with the good days being of what is mostly comprised of at the moment. I've found hydration and exercise has helped in regards to my spasms which is helping myself increase my hold times. I try not to wear unless I am in a situation where I am experiencing severe urgency and leakage or at night.

Thanks for following up mate -

I do understand and live with the constant pressure feeling in my bladder. I have neurogenic bladder from the initial spine injury, but after repeated infections due to the Foley and Suprapubic catheters I chose to go with once I regained bowel control. I developed ulcers on the bladder lining (Interstitial Cystitis) which after a surgeon attempted to remove them using a laser (I learned the VERY hard way, you never attempt to remove them!) I was left in horrible pain.Scale of 1-10 felt like a 12! They had to sedate me for a few days to allow my body to settle down. That pain remains, but eventually your body adjusts to it somewhat and after a few months begins to heal. With the physical & neurological damage the pain ranges from lighting bolts to hot coals, 22 years post-op still no idea of what triggers it? I still have sensation, and have a bathroom just off my parlor so I keep a small measuring cup in there and “My bold textFull” can range from 2 tablespoons to 18 ounces but it all feels the same to me.
As far as your landlord problem, if I remember correctly this has been an ongoing issue for you? For a number of years I co-owned a real estate brokerage & management company in Chicago. What I witnessed was some landlords have no business being in the business to start with. Terrible people, terrible business practices, but end of the day they do own the property. The leases ranged from a 3-4 page document anyone can read & understand to 50+ page tomes legible only attorneys.
The thing is yours sounds much like the latter, and they can evict you over the most ridiculous things. Most often I would advise to fight them, but they often hire teams to go after you. My suggestion would be to find a peaceful agreement with the landlord, and move on. Otherwise from what you posted they will evict you anyhow, charge you all of the expenses and ruin your credit making it much harder to find housing in the future, and costing many months of security deposit $$$
Keep pushing, the Sun WILL come out and always remember your days are precious, so pack in every smile, laugh whatever positive thing you can find, get back to living “YOUR” Best Life!

Thank you @Sprung87. I'm in between a rock and a hard place with my Landlord. I recieved a summons twelve days prior to a court date (which after discussing with my significant other - has to be some sort of a ruse or has to be illegal in some way shape or form I feel). When we were served the other day, the paperwork was trifolded and was dated for a month prior.

You are right, some landlords are completely nefarious. So what I was thinking was that it was some sort of implant in some way. Most of the information was completely untrue and it was signed by my Landlords lawyer. I suppose we'll find out what will happen once the court date comes.

Anyway, I haven't seen a doctor/urologist in quite some time. Not since my procedure for the interstim test; so we shall see in that regard. I really don't want to live with this forever; but at least one things for certain.

I have the NAFC ❤️

Just so you are prepared, I have no idea of where you live; but in Chicago landlords won evictions about 95% of the time. It doesn’t have to be something nefarious. When I first moved to California I rented the coolest Condo I had ever seen, just loved it! Well my ex-Wife went out and got a cat and showed it to our neighbors who were very good friends with our landlord. A week later we received an eviction notice for bringing a cat in. The owner turned out to be allergic to cats and planned on moving back in when he returned from Denver.
Nothing nefarious, we broke the contract. End of story.
Good Luck!

Thank you. What is quite weird is in my post history I talk about a cat in my apartment with discrepancies with my Landlord. Have you been going through my post history? - you may have seen it.

Luckily in regards to my cat - I am on a non written lease agreement; which means in New York State pets are allowed.

New York compared to Illinois sounds like heaven in regards to renters protections. Thank you for your kindness - we are thinking things will end up working out.
