It has been nearly 2 and half months since my original post and about 1 month since an update. I have just completed my antibiotic regimen. Finally I have had 6 really good days with each one better than the last. Except for last night when i drank a 32 ounce Powerade before bed( I was feelin good, sue me) big mistake had to pee all through the night.
-- It took the whole three weeks of antibiotics before I started feeling back to normal. ISTHEWIZ said he felt better after ten days. Well for me basically 21 days. I had all the symptoms penile pain, constant urge to pee, frequency, burning after orgasm. You name it I had it. Some symptoms seemed to disappear as quickly as they showed up, others like the urge and penile pain took forever to go away. For my followup my urologist has put back on the Cednifer 2/day for another 21 days and then to taper off one a day the last week. I agreed with this. Since my prostatits took forever to get better. This is common with prostatitis. I can finally now drink a 16oz drink with a meal and not have to pee in twenty minutes. That feels good. My energy is back to normal. Also the burning sexual stuff, very frustrating, glads thats gone. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who I have had the pleasure of chatting with. I have taken all suggestions and advice. I also I tried to give advice, but I feel since my problem has never given me incontinence, I feel weird giving advice to people. I will still try to offer help, I've learned alot I hope that will be ok since my knowledge is really only tailored to the Prostate.

Good to hear you improvement. My issue is bedwetting. No daytime wetting, but nightly issues. Use an overnight pull- on cloth diaper along with plastic pants. Rarely leak. Tried disposable diapers, but found out it's much cheaper to use cloth diapers . Initial cost higher, but saved tons of money in the long run. Only draw back is washing them.

@artiejr - I hope you find some solace. Incontinence is something I no nothing about - I wish I had some words of wisdom.

My wetting never really stopped completely. Wet the bed until about 18, then was off (mostly off) and on for several years, then came back again and hasn't given up. I wet every night, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. I rarely leak, just wet enough to wear a diaper and plastic pants.

@artiejr - what condition do you have? Neurogenic bladder, Urinary retention caused by age or meds? Also you said until 18, childhood trauma? I know thats a personal question and you don't have to answer, but I've read that childhood trauma physical or mental can lead to bedwetting. Is there any meds you can take ?

No childhood trauma, just hereditary. One of my parents wet the bed also as a child. Didn't know that until I was an adult. Only took one med as a child, I think it was imipramine, but only took it for about 2 weeks. No improvement. Didn't wear any protective clothing ie.,diapers and plastic pants back then. They were very difficult to find. So every morning I was soaked from head to toe. Wasn't punished for bedwetting just encouraged to try not to bed wet. Didn't work. When I turned about 18, it suddenly stopped. Don't know why, it just did. Was hit or miss for several years, then came back. Been bedwetting ever since. Will be 69 in July.
