Hi there thought I would just join this site and try get some advice and guidance for my ongoing ?urge incontinence.
3 years on after having my son (induced twice and then episiotomy with forceps) I am still having daily incontinene problems. The occasional day or 2 is fine but on average it's every morning getting out of bed and also on the way to work and then a third time mid afternoon ish.
It's not stress incontinence (I can go a 45 minute run without any problem, or jump up and down on my son's trampoline or having coughing fits and be dry etc)...but I get the sudden urge to go and I Power walk to a toilet but it's too late and I'm trickling down my leg (a light continuous stream).
Sorry for the too much information haha.
I'm making an appointment to see my doctor this week, as I'm scared it's bladder or gynae cancer or something.
I have no other symptoms other than the sudden urge and incontinence.
Thanks for any advice.

I recommend seeing a urogynecologist as opposed to a urologist. This specialist will scope you and offer various treatments. I have had success with Botox injections which I had in early June.

Please don't ever apologize for giving "too much information" on your posts. We've all "been there, done that@ and we're here to help. 😀

Welcome, Dwalms!!

Sorry to hear of your incontinence issues. Mine started at age 32, though I’m a dude, I still feel your pain. Nobody our age should have to deal with incontinence. Heck, nobody of any age should have to deal with it. But.....the world isn’t a perfect place.
As somebody who has been there and done that, I suggest you mention it to a urologist (urogyecolegist might be good if you can find one nearby you) plan on a battery of tests that are no fun followed by the routine of trying different overactive bladder medications (OAB meds) these are mostly in the anticholinergic class of medications. (you can research them ahead of time if you want) most of us had little success with these and resorted to wearing protection of some sort. (Pads, pull-ups, diapers) you’ll have to figure out what works best for you based on your level of incontinence, many of us use a combination of the three depending on what we’re doing and what our expected availability of a bathroom is. I’m willing to discuss this further with you if you have any more questions. Know that nothing is off limits or TMI here. We’re all dealing with the same thing and most of us have very little dignity left.

One thing I do is I keep a small folded towel on the upper corner of my bed (on the mattress) so if I get into that problem, I can use it to stop any leaking on the floor and my legs. I find that upsets me about as much as the leaking.
Then when it happens, time for a new towel.
