Since recently my bowel accidents have become a little harder to deal with,
I've been managing but it almost feel like it's getting a little worse in volume,
either way it has been a challenge changing when i'm out.
Even my recent flight wasn't that pleasant.
I also find that i wet without knowing sometimes, not that it matters but sometimes i know by how many wettings i might need to change. things just feel like it's going downhill a little

A medical practitioner or nurse might give you a few options to choose from. Do make sure you explain to them your situation in as much detail as you can so that they can give you the best diagnosis that they can.
When you have got some options, it would be a good idea to tell us what they are. Very likely some other people in this community will be able to explain what they are like for the patient.
The only treatment I have had is bowel evacuation, which has worked quite well for me, but it is no use for me to go into that unless it is on your list of possible treatments.

I had an artificial sphincter put in years ago had a lot of complications so I had to get it removed....
I went for some tests and examinations but the doctors think it's likely just normal, as u grow it happens is what they are saying.

I feel for you Christy4, I deal with total incontinence and have 1-2 large volume bowel incidents a day. I don't post much here but I wanted to let you know you are not alone. I finally got to a point where I accepted it and quit hiding and have been in a much better place. The struggle and stress of worrying about having an incident was worse than having one! I had a surgery that made my issues worse and it forced me to just deal with just going when things wanted to. I say this as it sounds like your condition is permanent? Can you share what issue you are struggling with? Leaks and containment, smell, bulkiness of diaper, fit of diaper? Let me know and I am happy to help! And hang in there, my current girlfriend (soon to be engaged) was an old friend and we reconnected, she was totally freaked by the bowel stuff but has ended up helping me more than any other medical person. She understands the struggle and has deep respect for the way I deal with the issue, I have experienced this with others again an again. There are too many people with bowel issues that hide and become a recluse, don't become one. As a tip, I wear a PUL Pant, and then typically another heavier duty plastic pant over it. Bloomer type plastic pants are literally leak proof and awesome! My girlfriend came up with the best part which to to wear shapewear (think like ultra control maidenform ones that go from above knee to over belly button) over it all to decrease bulk and leaks and improve fit. And take Devrom, it is a real life saver for odor. Good luck and let me know if I can help. Good luck!

it seems like it is permanent, i haven't experienced any signs of it getting better since i was small so...
the briefs i use which is betterdry manage it well. even the ordor i can control. bulkiness is an issue but worth it for the amount of protection i get.
the only thing that really gets to me is when it comes to changing especially when out of the house. at home i have a bidet and plenty of space. but if there is no handicap restroom it's the normal cubicle which i can do, but isn't easy. it kind of grosses me out when it comes to the changing.

I understand about the changing issue, do you have to change in public? I will almost always wait until I am home or have a private shower handy, I find it too difficult to change otherwise. Do you have the option to wait until you get home?

One suggestion I have is to carry the adult wipes (maybe two or three) in a plastic lunch bag. They are great for cleaning when a shower is not feasible.
A doctor told me about them and they are very soothing to the skin.

With a bowel accident I honestly do not want to wait in it too long so I'd rather change and it is best if there is a handicap restroom but I have changed in the normal restrooms a few times.....not fun but it is possible. I take some cleaning supplies in a bag along with a change, i just have to use wipes and clean up best I. I can clean up well enough but either way I always want to shower when I get home.

This is what I use when I’m not at home for cleansing along with wipes. Enough pressure to clean fairly well. I keep 2 bottles filled with room temperature water with me in my backpack, along with a roll of decent TP! Best wishes, Jo
