Well, what that's good. In a bad way.

I guess I should have guessed that when my no-B.S. patient advocate got back involved with my case that, she would get stuff done.

Never thought that she would get me an appointment so quickly, though, let alone on my birthday next week. LOL.

She was overly ticked that I had to go so long without an appointment. Granted that I am still only seeing my CNP with in Gastroenterology, but that is still better than waiting until next July when scheduling said they could get me seen.

It is also nice because then I have a bit of time to try/get stuff done before Christmas.

I need stuff figured out to decide if I am going south for Christmas again this year.

Now to hope that I can get things done before the end of the year.

Hey FL Guy - So glad you finally have someone on your side who is willing to push after being ignored for far too long. She sounds like a keeper for sure! Good Luck 👍 and keep us updated. - Pam

There seems to be something very wrong with our medical care system. I had some blood tests and MRI done recently, but it'll be next July before I see the doctor to discuss them.:unsure:

Last January, I made an appointment with my PCP for my annual visit, and she was booking appointments in June. When I went for the appointment in June, though, the receptionist told me that my PCP had left the practice in March and that I'd have to re-book. The earliest available appointment for a new patient wasn't until next January - meaning I've been waiting a year for my annual visit with my PCP!

The bad part is that I've got a couple of significant things I want to discuss with the PCP, and I've had to endure them for an extra year. I have regular visits with my gastroenterologist, my hepatologist, and my urologist, but things that fall outside of their specialties either require me to go to urgent care or wait endlessly for a visit with my primary.

I understand that there's a shortage of doctors in the US, but these wait times are still ridiculous - especially the part about them making me re-book as a new patient even though I've been seeing doctors at this practice for years!
