Waste of my time.

Just calming down from a frustrating morning. The agency that the hospital set me up with to help me find a vendor for my ostomy supplies sent me to 180 medical. Well they recommended that I get samples to try to find out what works for me. I jump on it and found that Coloplast would be what I use. Well 180 medical said that I would need a prescription for everything I need. Not a problem I said that I was using Coloplast and needed to make sure I could get everything from them. Then I drove all the way to my doctor office and got them to send in the prescription. Well 180 medical said that they had to talk to me yesterday and they would call me before the end of the day yesterday. Well they didn't so I called this morning and spent two hours calling to get my other started.

Finally got through only to be told that they needed to send me samples of covtech brand ostomy supplies because that is what they specialize in and they said my insurance have to re-submit paperwork with them and they would coordinate with a different vendor and see if my insurance would cover Coloplast if Covtech ostomy stuff didn't work for me. Well I laughed out loud because they assured me that I could get Coloplast ostomy supplies from them so they wasted my time for almost three weeks only to tell me that they only carry Covtec. Lucky for me the in between group expedited everything so the new vendor could have everything for tomorrow to get the stuff I need. Diapers were so much easier and less expensive to deal with, and yes the medication I was on sucked, didn't work anymore, and my spasms were way up but I knew how to deal with the incontinence side of things. Now, without insurance I could never afford the ostomy supplies I need and stuff like wasting my time for weeks doesn't make things easier. Thank God for a ostomy friend who's gave me two weeks worth of supplies or I don't know what I would have done because there's no way to deal with this without a ostomy bag.

Yeah 180 medical sucks.

@snow

Should all be worked out now. Had to get a different vendor, lucky this one is near where I live so they are going to see if I can do a local pickup for my first order so I can get my supplies quickly. I will gladly drive an hour to get my stuff. I drove more than a hour to get it set up before finding out that the other vendor was waisting my time so.

Hey @ThatFLGuy,

I read your frustrations and it's never ending it seems when it comes to dealing with services and companies.

Unfortunately, it seems to be the status quo wherever we may go. I have issues all the time when it comes to customer service inquiries and getting put on an automated teleprompter and nowadays it just seems like alot of companies (not all of them thankfully) have turned over human beings being in service to others for the almighty dollar.

But the Good News is that even just one person; one idea - can change that. I love for learn about all cultures and religions so by all means - please do not take what I'm about to share as True.

The story takes place in Ancient America where a prophet named Abinadi testifies the truth in the Holy Bible to a tyrannical King. (I suppose the King in this context can be inferred to your frustrations with getting the run around with your medical care coverage and products/services).

But because he testified - just that one person started a movement to spread the Truth of God's Love in the western hemisphere today.

All it takes is one person to do the right thing. Maybe a blessing that one day in the future @ThatFLGuy; things will change for the better for you.

Blessings In Christ,
Honeeecombs

This is a good example of when it’s okay to speak of religion, because you both know you’re both religious. Now if you’d said it to me, I would flip out, lol!

@ThatFLGuy How are you doing? Haven’t heard from you much. Hope you’re okay!!!!!!!
