Well, I went to my ultrasound today and. drank 32 oz before hand.I wore a pull-up style pants and boxer underwear like I normally do. I did not have an accident. When it came time to do the bladder she had me unbutton my belt and pants button, She pulled on the front quickly and shoved a towel there to keep the gel off my clothes.

She didnt say anyhthing to me. It was better than i had imagined. Funny thing is I was hit by urgency after my appointment. Im making steps, thanks to everyone the advice give.

Not easy to work through but not insurmountable. I recently had an ultrasound for testicular cancer worries and wore a diaper. She explained to get undressed from the waist down and she would be back. I explained the situation real quick and she appreciated and said keep it on. She just simply worked with it on but pulled down a bit and she asked me to hold my penis out of the way and pointed down to catch dribbles. They do understand and rarely out to embarrass others. Keep your head up!

Two very positive posts by @bfuhrman and @wetdad here! Usually when we dread something like a medical exam or procedure that's coming up, it usually isn't nearly as bad as we thought it would be. Funny thing about that, isn't it! But going in forearmed with advice from others, such as this forum, eases the burden a bit. And in both instances here, the medical professionals involved were, well, professional!! :D

billiveshere, you seem to have a pretty good, positive handle on a lot of stuff that comes up on posts here. I agree with everything you just said, as nothing was as bad as I thought it was going, be, and in some cases my concerns were almost comical. That is what hindsight can do for you lol. My next big deal not having been there before, is the word I will get in a couple of weeks from my first blood test after surgery for a prostate that had several cancerous tumors removed, but no cancer was present in any lymph nodes or any other complete body scans. So what PSA number on this next blood test is going to be bad news for me? Since I no longer have s prostate, what will generate a PSA number anyway?

Your psa number should be way down after prostate removal. The goal is 0 or very close to 0. Talk to your Dr and ask him these questions. Everyone’s case can be a little different.
