The Adventures of Squander Part II

So as a related and more incontinence related story, the most likely reason I am struggling is that I am retaining large amounts of fluid which is hard on my heart.

Now one of the things doctors are good at is making you pee. Furosemide is powerful stuff and they increased mine. So this in combination with being less mobile I decided to use some Abena Abri-San Premium Incontinence Pads, Size 11 I had obtained for my preparation for a colonoscopy.

Now these pads are huge! All of the negative comments are about how big they are and that the reviewer didn't like them because they are too big. Well Abena puts the dimensions right in the description. They work great for me and extend the life of a pull up by a lot.

Then the doctor gave me a furosemide enhancer which made me pee constantly for most of the day. I'm sure it's what I needed, but was I thankful for those pads.

Then it turns out that my potassium level crashed and I had to stop the enhancer, which is good and bad I guess. Anyway I hope they can figure this out, as I'm concerned it may be permanent.

I am also on furosemide. I am always incontinent at night, so I wear a pull-up with booster pads and I protect the bed with pads. Think about it: if you can protect your bed and have to wear something at night anyway, TAKE THE FUROSEMIDE AT NIGHT! Then you don’t have to deal with the effects of the med while you are trying to go about normal life. I’d much rather pee in the privacy of my bedroom than risk leaks during the day! FOR ONCE the incontinence works FOR me! LOLOL

I would take it at night, except I wake up when I need to go. Oddly enough last night was the first time in years that I slept through the night with out needing to get up to pee. I had even had a couple of beers before bed, which usually just make things worse.

My body is acting very weird of late.
