Small rant.

Most people with allergies deal with mucus in the stomach. As I have an ileostomy that means that it does not have time to digest all the way. It sucks, hurts, and makes me feel sick.

The worst part is that until it passes it makes my stoma output thick which leads to dehydration.

Then I really feel bad.

If it does not get better here soon I am going to have to go back to the ER just to get an IV because all I am doing is peeing like a race hourse.

I have to rant too…

I am about to put a rubber band on my penis to close off my urethra after a complete day of multiple full voids!!!

Okay, I know that is dangerous and could cause irreparable damage to my penis, but I had enough!

Wouldn't a condom catheter be better?

@MAM While not the most comfortable device to use a penile clamp can safely do the same thing. Please don't risk permanent damage to yourself.

I personally have a clamp and use it when I am in a situation that I do not want my issues to be known and it does work for short intervals.

@jeffswet My lifestyle doesn’t accommodate for a catheter (and/or collection container). I would be more inclined to go with a penile clamp, but that still is hard to hide under a swim suit that competition swimmers wear. On days like yesterday, I avoid the pool, but it is depressing to not be in the water and clear my head of life’s stresses.
