Powder or ointment?

What do y’all recommend to put on before the diaper goes on ? Powder or some type of ointment/ Vaseline maybe ?

I use baby lotion then powder. I very rarely have diaper rashes either. I usually only powder though if I know I am going to be in it for awhile such as going to work I try to get 1 diaper to last the night which is a 12hr shift (almost never happens so far only with the new North shore megamax). I lotion entire diaper area then I lay the diaper on bed sprinkle powder on the back area then lay down on it and then put on genital area and especially in the crease where the thigh meats body.

I don't put on anything unless I develop a diaper rash. If I have diaper rash I will put A & D or some other diaper rash ointment on my rashy diaper area.
