A Cautionary message to all. Poise Impressa can and does cause internal uterus bleeding, scraping of the uterus walls and in some cases Uterus infections. Septic and Sepsis shock has been reported. Sepsis is a life threatening infection. Poise is an insert that decreases urine flow. When removing this devise, the hard plastic prongs tend to grab the uterus wall and causes bleeding especially in older women. UI can also occur and hospitalization is required. Reports of women that when extracting the devise the string breaks off and a trip to the ER will be needed to have the devise removed by a Doctor.
