Penile Injection - Trimix

I've tried Trimix for 6 months now. Not sufficient success for penetration - YET. Dr. Mullhall's book says to be patient. I started at 5 units and now up to 40 units. Still trying to get to the right dose. He says the max dose is 100 units - Yikes! Bigger syringe???

There is a drug - Invicorp - that is approved in Europe but not USA. This reduces "penile pain" which I believe I have after injection. It is more of a discomfort especially after 40 units!

Anyone have experience with Caverject or Edex?

BTW the injections are not that bad. Just looking for success.

@THN First I need to say that my ED did not come from a RP. Other health issues combined to cause my ED. My continence problems are related having an enlarged prostate. I had a TURP because of my enlarged prostate. By the time the Dr's listen to me... I had damaged my bladder. I think there is also some damage to my sphincter because of the TURP. The "multiple" strictures they found when I was finally scoped probably doesn't help either. (lol) probably bicycle injuries from my uncoordinated youth.

Back on topic. I have been using injectable meds for ED for since 2020. Started with small doses and worked up. I did start using trimix prior to being diagnosed with the enlarged prostate.

There are numerous blends and strengths of the injectable ED meds. I doubt your Dr started you on one of the stronger blends, so I am sure there are stronger blends available for you if needed. Yes the syringes get bigger over 50 units. But the needles stays the same small size. I have not found any problems using the larger syringes, it only takes a second longer to inject. I was also started, like you, on trimix. After changing urologists my new Dr, when hearing the injections hurt, says to me "oh lets have you try bimix. Many of my patients find it painful to use trimix". I switched to bimix and no longer have any burning or pain when I inject. Boy the right Doc can make all the difference. Yes the tri/bi mixes make me full & useable. I found using the tri or bi mix to have a learning curve. Not only how much to inject but also the technique, location, and ect.

Get in touch if you have any questions. Some questions we can talk them over here, for the benefit of others. Some we might want to take private. R
