Yes. You need to be very patient. I'm 6 months in and struggling. Progress has been very slow for me. Do the exercises and don't expect too much too soon. Good luck! Russ
@Bizo welcome to the forum. I had complications after my prostate surgery, so I'm still in a mess after 3 years. I hope that you turn out to be one of the straightforward recoveries, cheers Phil
@Bizo welcome to this forum. Honestly at least you appear to have a great attitude and understand once you Catheter is remove you will fully understand what everybody has discussed about having their prostrate removed. I am fortunate to say I still have my prostrate however I am constantly battling my neurogenic bladder as a result of my MS. Overtime I can attest to the fact it gets easier and easier. At first one is rejecting the fact they have to wear protection etc. Honestly once I accepted to wear full briefs when on long trips or at work site meetings my stress just disappeared. I didn’t realize how stressed I was about where the closest bathroom is or the fear of can I make it in time. Lol . Oh the joys looking back. Granted for you hopefully you get better and better and don’t need to accept what I have had to deal with. And hopefully you are much more lucky in your recovery than physlink. I wish you the best!!
And if you need advice on anything just drop a line here as there are many great people willing to provide some advice and or guidance.
Thanks for the advice all good we will see how it goes ,,,it took 10 months for my brother to recover continence after the same operation so I have to beat him love him but love to beat him lol all the best
I had my surgery on June 30th and catheter out on July 20th. It’s been very difficult but I’m starting to see a slight improvement. Going to be a long road ahead so just be patient I know all the leaking sucks.

Brotherly love and competition. Gotta love it. And if it doesn't work out in your favour just tell him the competition was to see who would do it longer. Twist the rules to your favour, another brotherly trait.
I think JT hit the mail right on the head here! From where I sit the rules can be made to work both ways! Go for it. Of course the object is to have both of you winning by being well on the road to recovery and to the point where surgery, etc, is just a distant memory. Cheers to all!
