Impressa bladder suport?

Women's product question: Saw my primary caregiver today, who, given that I've had little success treating or living with my stress incontinence, suggested trying Poise's Impressa bladder support. It looks like a tampon, and it's inserted and removed like a tampon, supposedly lasts for 12 hours, doesn't require a prescription or fitting. (like a pessary would -- ?). I'm hoping the product could get me through a 2-week trip coming up, although for the long term, I'll probably need to just keep doing pelvic floor exercises (mixed success so far with those).

Impressa isn't cheap, must be disposed of after wearing, and doesn't help improve stress incontinence, but it might keep me from having to lug around 2 weeks worth of heavy pull-up incontinence undies, wipes, disposal bags during this trip (staying with friends, which is mortifying). Thank you so much!

It's over-the-counter; has been available since 2019. It's inserted in the vagina and puts "gentle" pressure on the urethra next door to prevent stress incontinence. I just ordered the sizing kit online. Sizing is based not on a person's height/weight, or amount leaked, but on how the vagina and urethra are placed via each other (if that makes sense -- the Poise website has better explanations!). The kit includes 2 of each size (size 1, 2, and 3), and I'm thinking it's probably a good idea to try all 3 sizes (unless one of them is really uncomfortable).
It can be worn for no more than 12 hours per day, and it's non-absorbent. Maybe a temporary fix if you're taking a trip, like I am, or have stressful things to deal with for a while.

That's helpful!

As far as travel and that sudden uncontrollable spurt if one has been sitting too long for instance I found a female urinal ordered off Amazon is extremely helpful. I had to train my bladder and brain to understand that it would take a few seconds to get the device in front of me after lowering trousers but also to stand facing the toilet.
It bought me the scant bit of self control time that I need which would be lost in trying to turn and sit down after walking from the other room or car to the toilet.
Results are no surge all over at the toilet

@rabbitb3 If it’s the product that goes in the vagina and just presses on the urethra to try to prevent flow, I’ve never read good reviews about it. I haven’t heard any members here say that they use it. Since I have Neurogenic Bladder, I doubt it would keep my pee inside me. If you do try it, please let us know how it goes. I’d love to use it if it works!!!
