What did their parents teach them? About manners? About courtesy?
Nothing. I like your attitude. Keep living your life. Just ignore any questions and go on - or walk away - or tell them "Why did you think it was an appropriate thing to ask?" and keep giving them questions back until they go away or quit asking. The smarmy response from them that "I'm just concerned about you" gets answered in the same style. If those answers make them unfriend you, maybe you didn't want them as friends. Family, especially close family like a parent? I'd even consider how likely they'd spread the word so it got to the gossip stage. Gossip = the most corrosive substance known to man.
