Holidays

When holidays like Thanksgiving and Xmas come up and I travel home to visit (not as much now) but there used so much anxiety for me becauae my mom always insisted I stay with her and my younger sister. Flying in didnt really help matters since I didnt have a car to drive. Not to mention the thought of a screener opening my bag for a random check or something... it never happened but i would have died.
Not sure how many of you all hid your wetting problems from your family but since mine was only at night it was probably easier than most. It still wasn't simple though. Eventually I was found out but it was a good 10 years or so of visits that no one was the wiser. To this day Im still uncomfortable with it but I dont visit often so its just one less thing for me to be anxious about each year I guess.

Goes to say holidays are stressful with or with or without getting together. Probably too many memories triggered.

I'm sorry that special times bring you stress. My entire family and some of my friends, sometimes directly, sometimes indirectly have been made aware of my urgency and frequency issues. They hate it for me. Not everyone understands it, but just as if I had some other "disease" they are empathetic, even compassionate.

The stress for me today is the fact my son-in-law will not get his COVID vaccine. In the meantime, my daughter and grandchildren live in that environment. Why? Because it's his choice.

I hope things work out for you and that you enjoy your family time.

My incontinence arose as an unexpected consequence of surgery when I was 14 years ole. My family knew about it then and has remained aware of it ever since. A few very close friends also know. My incontinence is an awkward medical problem and not something to be ashamed of. I manage it by wearing diapers. I am as discrete about it as is reasonably possible. But I do not treat the issue as something that must be kept secret at all costs.

I totally get you @JC1471 . Fellow bedwetter here too and family visits can be stressful. I am not a heavy wetter so the RealFits, Night Denfese or other pull-up type products work for me. Thankfully most of the time I am traveling I end up staying dry at night. However the times I end up wetting in my sleep I am happy I have the protection on.

I've not had any issues hiding my protection from relatives during my stays and have had not issue with TSA. I do carry the TSA health information card with me that explains that I have enuresis and have protection incase of an accident. If it is a cross country flight I do wear a pull-ups under my clothes just in case I fall asleep on the plane. So far I have not needed the protection during a flight, but give me a sense of confidence and comfort in knowing that if I were to fall asleep on the flight or during a long delay at an airport and do wet no one else will know but me.
