holiday stress and Depends

So last week I was forced to trade in my thin curity pullups for Depends. I was just having too many soak thru accidents especially at night. Strangely I'm really happy I did and wish I had sooner. I guess I was sort of envisioning a tape on baby diaper complete with cartoon characters lol and the thought made me want to barf, envisioning my womanhood vanishing, but the ones I wear are a pullup and look kinda like beige panties. They are also VERY absorbent. No wet pajamas and bedding in the morning even when my diaper is super soaked and swollen in the mornin. And the accident I'm usually having on my way to the toilet on top of the 2-3 I clearly had during the night doesn't cause me to leak. Leaves me wondering why I was so stubborn about making the switch in the first place. I'm not gonna trying underwear again for awhile. I'm just having too many accidents lately with holiday stress and my anxiety. The last one I had earlier today was the kind I very seldom have: ZERO warning. I was finishing my Christmas shopping when literally out of nowhere I started to pee in my diaper. No feel of needing to go or the dribbles that usually tell me I'm about to have an accident. Nope, the pee just suddenly started coming out and all I could do was stand there in the aisle until I was done. I went to the restroom to change afterward and was surprised that the diaper was pretty heavy, more so than one bladder dump should make it, it seemed. Then I remembered I'd had a massive panic attack a couple hours earlier (this happens semi-regularly). I must have peed while I was freaking out and just didn't realize but that goes to show how excellent this new absorbancy is. Thankful for little victories.

If you think depends are great your gonna be amazed at what some of us wear! LOL Leaks suck, but regular diapers just work better.

I agree propertaped nappies are somuch better and usually take two complete wettings without leaks. I use tena slip maxis with net fixing pants to keep them in place and usually Mylesta nylon waterproof pants to be sure my clothes stay dry. Sometimes my bladder just lets go without warning.

As I said in a previous response to you, once you decide to try a diaper instead of a pullup, the diaper will change your life. Glad to hear you've tried it and are happy with the results. Now you can start living life including your normal activities.

Good for you!

@ShiRae

As an occasional bedwetter I usually just rely on a waterproof bed pad that I sleep on (waterproof protection also on the mattress, just incase)at home but I do wear protection when not at home, or times when I need to make sure there is no wet bed in the morning to deal with. So with that I do wear Depends mens RealFit pull-ups. So far they have worked as planned.

Most of the time they are worn but never needed, thankfully. But there are times that I do wake wet and am happy that they did what they were suppose to. I've never been a so called 'heavy wetter' so the Depends RealFits do the job for me, and I am glad they do. Can you imaging having to let the hotel know you need your sheets change while you are out for the day or even worst at check out.

So I am glad you found something that works for you. I know that most here wear something that is more than a pull-up and that is cool. People got to do what works best for them. Thankfully for me, and looks like for you so far, Depends pull-ups work for us.

Hang in there, we are here for you and all dealing with continence issues night or day.

But some paper towel and fold 4 sheets up , put them between your groin.Carry the roll with you along with some baby wipes .When you feel your wet down there .Throw out the wet paper towel and put back 4 more dry sheets .. Then wipe your hands with the baby wipes ... Good Luck !!!!!!
