Heat Rash

Hello,

On March 6th I had Robotic Prostatectomy surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. I was sent to KU by the Kansas City VA. Dr. William Parker along with his team and the nursing staff took great care of me. I can't say enough about these gifted professionals.

Now to my problem. For the first months I had some heat rash but was able to control it with a barrier cream and cortisone. However, now it's back in full force and has spread. I talked to a pharmacist last week and since then have been using an anti-fungal cream and cornstarch powder. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and if so, how you resolved it.

Thank you,
Barry

i have something going on. it is rough skin and redness. it used to itch and i used an antifungal cream that was messy and smelly. i ran out of the stuff and stopped using it. strangely, the itching which was quite extreme at times while using the medication stopped completely when i stopped using it. now i have the rough and red skin there but no itch. it isn’t bothering me so i just keep the area as clean as possible and don’t bother with it any more.

Update,

Found bag balm at the farm store. The only way to get Sedocrem is order on line. So will try the bag balm first.
