Has anyone had experience using a public launderette for reusables?

Hello,
I am going away for whole 7 days. As I am mildly urinary incontinent I wear washable briefs
made of terry cloth. The Waterproof pants , I can easily wash and rinse in the bathroom where I’m staying
but I’ll be away for a whole 7 days.
It would be a lot to pack a whole week’s supply of my briefs even though I can probably rough it a whole day with the same one if there are enough toilets near wherever I am.
Disposables are not an option as I’m allergic to the materials. Insert pads I don’t trust because I get quite a bit of dribble.
I am planning to do a mid week wash and dry at a local self service laundry Matt
but worried some other people in there might notice my strange garments.
I suppose I can disguise them among my T shirts etc. and be quick with the loading and unloading.
Has anyone had experience washing Nappy briefs etc. at a public laundry and did anyone else or staff members notice or say anything to you about it?

I don't understand the concern. For one thing, you will be using a laundromat where no one knows you. For another thing, I can't imagine someone would be so bold as to ask you about your private garments in a laundromat. My experience of laundromats is that people mind their own business. I send my laundry out to be done every couple of weeks. I always have a ton of reusables in my load, and they always come back clean and folded, and I have never noticed strange looks or smirks from the staff when I pick up my laundry. Frankly, I wouldn't give a hoot if they did. My advice: enjoy your trip.

I might be self-conscious and worried about washing such garments in a launderette but I think I would tell myself that no one would notice, no one would probably know what the garments were anyway; as people have already said, no one knows of course whose they are, and you're never going to see any of these people again! So I would go ahead and use the launderette without a care.

Jaycloth- it is a mutual thing, I at times think like you, but it's unwarranted thinking. you are dealing with enough throughout your daily life, just go and live. It will be ok, and you will look back and think about your trip saying Now why was I worried?. I agree with everyone else even if one person knew who you were at the laundromat you won't be seeing them everyday of your life. I have both incont. bladd and bowel( mainly seeping/some leaking) and a friend who I confided in explaining my embarrassment in being around others, she asked me well what do you do when you go to the doctors office- since there are usually a lot of people around. I told her well that's not a big problem there,I just get up and go clean up; 1- I usually don't know most if any of them and won't see most of them very often if ever again, 2-all are in the office dealing with some type of medical issues-maybe some the same.I had to think about this and realize many in the world are dealing with the same things and more, and No one really knows what's going on with you unless you tell them. In your case they may have the same types of protection in the dryer as you do. But I do understand and it's like looking into a mirror reading the experiences on this forum. I am learning and trying to improve my way of thinking about these issues for myself. I still have some growing to do and appreciate each one of you all. It's always easier when standing on the outside looking in. Now I have to listen to myself also.

Thank you folks for your reflection and advice about my dilemma.
I think you are right and I’m worrying unduly.
Part of it is probably because I’ve never used a public laundry before
and always had the luxury of owning a washing machine.
I’m usually well organised in my routine so I’m sure I will be there too as long
as I plan ahead. After all I have been even ok staying over at a friend’s on numerous occasions
and that has got to be more risky than going to a laundry.

I've done it, probably several times, though I now use disposable products exclusively. Trust me, no one has ever noticed, because no one thinks to look- and if they did, that would suggest that they have some kind of mental issue. I did have a roommate notice it in my load once, but we shared a washing machine in our basement. He asked about it, I explained it and he never brought it up again. He was a good roommate, but not the sort of guy you'd expect to be understanding about it. Nonetheless, I learned not to listen to preconceived notions about others. I don't think you have anything to worry about. I hope your trip is fun.
