Condom Catheters have many positives for me, this is but one

Pic #1 is what I used to carry with me in the car prior to using Condom/External - Catheters. 1-2 Under pads, minimum 2 large sticky backed pads, open ended urine/barf collection bags, 1 large wrap around and at least 1 pullup diaper.

Started with "shields & guards" with collection bag backup. Graduated to pull ups. And soon went to wraparounds and extra large pads, so I didn't have to completely disrobe to clean up to get dry. LOL never really got the hang of handling car emergencies... while maintaining a little privacy!

Pic #2 is now all I bring with me. 2 Large sticky backed pads, 2 CC/EC's, and alcohol wipes to clean with if I have an EC/CC failure.

Not shown is the 2 pair underware, 2 work pants, blanket and/or jacket to attempt a little privacy, paper and cloth towels, and of course adult baby wipes. Down to 1 pair underware. I do not take extra pants and cloth towels with me anymore.

Transferring and cleaning out the old car for a new to me car. Ohhh the panics, horrors, traumas and the learning curve I went though. Many good and great memories too.

Would love to hear how you, did and do, handle car travel? R

I pull over and go to the bathroom in a gas station or a fast food chain; pretty easy! The only time it’s a problem is like on I-5 going from LA to LV and there’s hardly anywhere to pull over and it’s bumper to bumper traffic with semis looking down on you. I’d just pull over far enough into the weeds, open two car doors, sit between those two car doors on the edge of the car, and pee (or change a pull-up). It’s less easy for me to do that now my knees can no longer lift me up from a squat. I’ve never tried to change a pull-up or a pad in my car in the middle of public with a blanket over my waist and I never would.
