Changing pads on pull ups

When you put a new pad in on a pull up or I guess tabs there’s a sticky tap on the pad you take off to stick to your pull up/diaper. After like 2 pad changes the pull up starts coming apart where the tape was stuck to.
Is this normal? Do you need another pull up ? Or not use the sticky strip.
I’m new to this - I’m using north shore products

When I had to wear pads in pull ups, I would only peel back an inch of the pad's stick part.

I really don’t get the pull up wet but just starting

I see you had a sling ? How’d that go for you ?
