Cervical Stenosis with Myelopathy

Anyone had this come up as cause or possible cause of their incontinence? Up til now my issues have been deemed neurogenic but idiopathic. Had couple of MRI series done to rule out MS (which thankfully wasn’t present) but they did find moderate to severe narrowing at the C5-C6 and C6-C7. After much research it appears that bowel and bladder incontinence is a late-stage symptom. Rest of symptomatology also fits my situation. I’m currently awaiting neurosurgery consult.

Just curious how many others may have experienced this or know anyone who has?

I don't know specifically, but if they say the nerve impingement wouldn't cause incontinence, doesn't mean it isn't. My low back nerve issues we're said at first to not be the cause. It was proven later to be so. There are documented cases and studies shown that incontinence can be caused by nerve impingement anywhere on the spine. Not just where the bladder and bowel nerves are.
