CBD helped with pelvic and cervical pain

I don’t know how many here deal with pelvic pain, inflammatory diseases along with incontinence issues, I do. Usually a bit of rest and a heat can get me through a flair. Flair ups can make leakage worse though I leak when it doesn’t hurt, and leak more when it hurts, sigh, it is all about the leakage with the pumped up kicks…

In short: Really bad flair last week. Web searched for relief. Bought CBD full spectrum tincture and broad spectrum cream. What the hell, pain. Got positive relief in both cervical and pelvic pain. Sharing positive experience.

Long-winded-ramble: Last week, had a flair up lasting a couple of days with pelvic pain radiating throughout my bladder, lower back, and hips. Was using heating pads, lots of motrin, and lots of pads/diapers. I use the microwavable pads with some kind of hulls inside a long fabric tube. Works great for neck, back, and pelvic pain. Just don’t over microwave it, it can burn creating a horrible smell. Worse than burnt popcorn x 10. Anyhoo, squirrel, I was practically wearing it all day around my hip and literally tucked under the front of my diaper to apply heat to my bladder.

I wander…more…decided to try CBD oil. ended up a local heath store and bought a tincture. 5 mg per dose, some go as high as 25mg, and still other delivery routes as high as 100 mg (suppository). It really helped. My wife didn’t see any affects for sleeplessness or general aches. Suspect very much per individual per symptoms.

I searched through the forum’s history and didn’t discover discussions on pain, inflammation, and/or consequently, leakage reduction using CBD oil and variants.

I know CBD (hemp or cannabis derived) can be controversial and isn’t legal in all areas. To be blunt, I am not interested in your religious or moral soapbox, and the post isn’t a invitation to create a war. I thought to pass on my recent experience in that it may help another in pain. I am hopeful that long-term usage continues to provide a safe and helpful tool.

Estrogen creme, intra vaginally, has helped me with a deep vaginal paing like a wave. It was not very often but did her. Gyn prescribed it.

My wife has a rare muscle disease which is painful but she won’t take pain meds during the day because they make her too loopy. Recently found Delta 8 gummies where a half of one reduces pain and puts her in a real good mood lol. Fully functional. I don’t care if anyone else likes it or not, that stuff works for her. Available in Louisiana and Florida at least.

theMochi -- Thank you for your review of CBD oil. I'm going to try it!
Faithab -- Am going to use my Estradiol cream.

Thanks for sharing. Estrogen won’t work with my plumbing; @Faithab it is good info for others to look into.

@Cajunfisherman Thank you for the reference to delta 8. I looked it up and is interesting how many low THC hemp products there are so, many choices. I am glad your wife found something that works for her.

@pegasi99, Let us know if it helps!

@theMochi Nice to hear CBD helped you; we welcome all success stories of relief! There are mannnnnnnyyyyyyyyyy discussions here about pain, but the topic title is unlikely plain “Pain.”

Most of us here have compound medical conditions and have survived the worst of many kinds of pain. I do.

I have a medical card as of two years ago. Unfortunately, neither THC nor CBD have any positive effect on my pain. At least THC can help me fall asleep sometimes, but it’s a last measure for me due to its cost and the brain fog the next morning.

I refuse to vape or smoke flower - or to smoke anything else! But I have tried the non-smoking applications of the various delivery methods for CBD and THC: gummies, transdermal patches, oils/tinctures, balm/lotion, and capsules. I had zero reaction to all of it except the gummies - neither positive, nor negative, just no change. But like I said, fortunately the gummies help me sleep. I don’t regret spending the money to try them all; it was totally worth it to narrow down what works best for me and what doesn’t. I remain grateful there are so many choices!

I’m glad I have them available to me as an option because at some bedtimes, I really do appreciate the assistance from a THC gummy here and there.

Enjoy your relief and consider yourself lucky to be able to take CBD and THC legally :) Now if only the Feds would get on board, too!

Hey @snow, all, I cannot relate to but emphasize what others on the board are going through. My health issues can seem like a mote in comparison. I hope in no way have implied or directly injected any discord or thrown shade (I think that’s proper use of the term) towards others.

You said something really interesting regarding conditions and pain. A spectrum of experiences. I have years of experience with pain, and with no cure, only have more in the future. Others have a treatment based, acute pain. Still others have trama-based. So, what I find interesting in your comment is how discussions are formed top-down and not bottom-up. For instance, I have P therefore Q. Why not I have Q, and while we don’t share P, what can help? I know in part it is how we compartmentalize and frame questions but it is interesting nevertheless. Like this board is an aggregator but within it is compartmentalized so, if one doesn’t have P, they may not see P.

I too am glad they are more widely available w/o fear of prosecution at a state jurisdiction and socially. Neither do I vape or smoke, and not fond of the taste either, there are other delivery methods.
