Had sling surgery five weeks ago. The main incision scar ridge runs from behind my scrotum to within a half inch of my anal opening. While everything has healed nicely in the surgery and it has eliminated incontinence leakage, the end of the scar ridge near the anus has a bit of a bump, and sometimes it gets slightly irritated. Planning on asking my surgeon when I go in for my check up next week if it is normal to have an incision that goes back that far toward the anus but in the meantime I’m wondering if anybody who has had the surgery has had a similar experience in terms of location of the incision (or if it’s just a matter of my surgeon having larger hands than normal and needing the extra room ). Honestly just trying to find out if this is normal for this procedure.
