So I had to put my foot down today. Never got called back from patient advocate until 1:30pm and I was already at my GP's office dealing with another issue**More on that later** So the deal was I had to get seen by someone at GI but could not get them on the phone yesterday or today at all***Phones were down at the call office for some reason for a bit***

So Today after trying to get an appointment with GI due to not having a bowel movement in more than 24 hours I decided to try again to call the office and got no where..Like on hold for almost an hour to be disconnected with nothing.

So I went and got breakfast and figured no point being hangry and upset and then came back home to change and go to the GP office to try to get seen, Checked my mail and found out why Paperwork fell off.. My GP left his practice at the office I go to last month.. Just got the letter in the mail today so big news. Tryed to call their office again but got no where so left and went. Was told that the new doctor taking over was not in until next week and the X-ray tech was not in ether so the nurse call GI and tried to get the nurse on the phone to say that I had to come there. In the process of dealing with that and getting set up to see the new GP next month I got called back by the advocates office. They were playing it like I could be seen next week but I told them that It was either get seen or I was coming to the er. Which is what I did. Within ten minutes of getting checked into the ER the head of GI called me and came down and took me to GI with a Post med PA that is completing his residency.... This is by far the best Hospital visit I have had at GI. Not only did he get my all of my test results, he did a full physical and found a few new things that no one else did.

One I have an undersized prostate, and something is not right with my back ***Likely from the bike accident years ago*** and I have an issue that he got is getting me a urologist for that he found in the physical.

So all in all a lot got done today and I have some answers....

Another thing to point out the even pissed him off and he showed me to..

The when they open records***IE all the records sent from my doctors in FL. the PC put a date and tab on it showing how opened it and when... THE OTHER GI DOCTORS HAVE HAD EVERY RECORD FROM FL. SINCE NOVEMBER OF LAST YEAR AND NEVER OPENED THEM... NOT ONCE.... And worse yet only one GI doctor has ever looked at any of my ct scans done at the ER and that one was when me and my mother first met the person that was going to be my GI doctor and then an GI Department lead took over***The one who said my case got dumped in her lap before she was leaving on vacation***

Now here is the big thing....That doctor Told the advocates office that she was not available today to see me***But she was at the office when I got there joking around with her one nurse...So she never called me like she should have and then said she was not able to even take my call but was at the office all day so I am happy to be done with her and moving on with this new guy.. It is crazy that the best care that I have gotten has always been with a PA and not an MD... Sad but I don't care this dude it the best GI person I have seen so now I will use him...

O and he got me set up for therapy somewhere else and is going to call me on Tuesday to make sure that they called to set it up.. could not ask for better.

Wow! You've had a busy day! Congratulations that your efforts are finally paying off. What a difficult health care system!

That is encouraging about getting set up for therapy. Do follow through on Tuesday. Maybe this is the light at the end of the tunnel!
