Hi, I'm 36 and have wet the bed until I was about 16. Then it stopped. Last night I woke up wet out of the blue. I'm shocked, embarrassed and I don't know what to do with myself. I'm truly hoping it was a one time thing. I am very stressed at the moment. Can sucha thing happen when stressed??

yes.
I have heard of this happening to many others.

But, if this continues, you may talk to your doctor about it because it could be the symptom of something else aside from stress.

We agree with Andy1050 and his mention of stress. New dietary or exercise regimens can have an effect too.

Scheduling a doctor appointment makes the most sense if it persists.

Yes, I feel it could also, and have had issues for years and under medical care for it. But if it happens again, I would see your PCP. Then let us know how it goes

Im 56, 6'-0", 190, fit, atractive,straight, white. I know, wierd profile name. Maybe this help you understand.
When in H.S I met a girl and it wasn't long on finding out why we were the only 2 sitting out swimming class and we became friends. I was on track team, she played on the tennis team. She used to hide the diapers while playing tennis with pantyhose and those briefs with the lace around legs and rows of lace on back. It was such a pretty look. It didnt matter because everyone else were wearing the same ruffled panties and nobody could tell my friend was wearing diapers. You dont see the look anymore, wish that fashion would make a comeback.
Anyway she graduated college and moved away. I have dated girls that did not wear them and because I wear them it just doesn't seem as comfortable a relationship as me being with someone similar. Maybe the girl for me is a Square Dance Girl with UI . I dont know how to square dance at this point but am willing to learn

Definitely stress can affect continence. My bladder issues (frequency, urgency, hesitation, weak stream, incontinence) all began during an intensely stressful time in my life. Even as things in my personal life have improved my bladder issues have remained the same. 34 and back in diapers. Best of luck to you. Keep us up to date.
