Anorectal manometry test...

So I just got done watching a video on how this test is done and what it does. My GI doctor is working on getting this test set up asap so that we can get answers. One thing that stood out to me is that I have had issue with going for a very long time now and the one video pointed out biofeedback therapy. I did not know that that was either but now I feel like I really could use that. I never feel the need to go to the bathroom until I have just a few minutes to go and most time it is seconds for #2. I get spasms all the time like I have to go but don't when I get and sit on the pot. Fact is that this has been the case since I had surgery for both #1 & #2... And I am just now realizing that I was dealing with this more than I felt like I was. I just figured that this was normal part of recovery but the head on GI said that even with my surgery being what it was I should not be dealing with all of this. Today I should have some more answers as to paperwork as well as test as the patient care person has followed up with me twice now. Also I found out the my Ins. Did not get the faxed authorization form that I sent at my uncles house so I sent it through their app and got conformation that they have it now so I should be able to get the doctors to a least tell me what they can and will do with the paperwork. I keep telling them that it is insurance related and not part of SSD... but they and I both know that I could be use to get SSD in the future so they want to run a lot more test first....But the got to get and get me in for the test then but still fill out the paperwork as it is for back pay...

I know I have said this before but I am glade now that I have someone going in between for me.

@ThatFLGuy Sounds like you are getting some positive progress. Happy for you and hope that it continues.

@ThatFLGuy I am so happy for you!!! The light at the end of tunnel must be getting a little brighter for you. I can't wait to hear more of your journey.

@ThatFLGuy, Good! :D Good!:D Good!:D That is wonderful news indeed! Progress is being made and we'll have some real answers soon, I would think! And if I were you I would definitely opt for the biofeedback therapy. From what I know about it (admittedly very little) is non-invasive, definitely not a surgery and I think it would train your mind to take the right path when bowel issues do act up. Not sure but maybe biofeedback is done in someone's office rather than in the hospital and that would be a plus as well. I'm glad your patient care lady has followed up with you twice and I think by now she knows you mean business! And when you go in for those tests. do know that all of us here will have your back and will be there in spirit!

@ThatFLGuy I’m happy to hear you’re getting closer to getting to the bottom of your wretched bowel problems. Stay strong!
