Ace Inhibitors and incontinence?

I have high blood pressure, trying natural stuff right now but the doctor said if it doesn’t come down he can describe an ace inhibitor. Has anyone been prescribed this? Does it increase or decrease your incontinence? Did it lower your blood pressure?

I have been on and off of Lisinopril for a couple years but I’ve noticed no bladder changes from it. My doc specifically said he avoided any diuretic because of by oab. Tell your doc your bladder issues and they will prescribe something least likely to make things worse.

If your BP is way high it may actually help a little, I’ve found my symptoms are a bit less when BP is in proper range.

I have been taking lisinipril for years. It is a good medication for hypertension, but it does increase bladder urges for me for a few hours after taking it. If you start it, you would be wise to take it first thing in the morning rather than close to bedtime to prevent from interrupting sleep due to frequent urination.
