A tip for wearing diapers that will save you a lot of grief

So I’ve talked a lot about having leaks. Every diaper was leaking on me. I’ve found a technique that I have talked about in a couple threads but I wanted to make a post about it it’s such a game changer.


When putting on your diaper tape the top tapes (starting either left or right. Doesn’t seem to matter) then tape the bottom ones. I’ve had one leak with abena when I pushed it to the limit and one small leak with the MegaMax that my pul pants caught. I’ve literally gone from several leaks a day to practically none.

I’ve been doing it like this for quite some time and I find after doing the top tips when I bring the bottom tapes over I come up with them almost overlapping the top ones, just seems to work for me and I end up with less leaks around the legs.

@richr I wish I would have figured this out sooner. It would have saved me a lot of frustration. I sometimes tape the bottom tape over the top too. Either way my leaks have substantially lessened. I hope this tip saves someone the trouble I went through

@justej I've been preaching this at the adultbedwetting subreddit whenever it comes up, but it never seems to stick. Top tapes first, and bottom tapes angled up to meet, is the way.
